I've personally been a bettor for the most of my life. I haven't become rich but I've never lost in the end. I am using term "bettor" instead of gambler simply because I've never believed in casinos, slots etc.
As they say, "the most genious ideas are the simple ideas", and funny enough I find my very first simple strategy the most succesful one.
First of all I always bet on an underdog. Why? Because if you want to win in the end and back a favorite you will simply go bankrupt within seconds! Since there is no sure bet unless it's a fixed bet, you will want to double or treble your bet to win your money back and that's where you've already fallen into trap and there is no way out of it.
On the other hand if you back an underdog you only have to win once in a few attempts in order to profit from it in the end. So the strategy itself is simple like ABC. Bet 1, if lost, bet 2, if lost bet 3, and so forth. However, that's where my limit is about 3rd or 4rth bet. If i lose it in four tries I just start over. Now if you are good at it what are the chances you will ever lose 4 straight bets? The answer is they almost equal zero.
Nevertheless, that's where the hardest part lies. How do you become good at it?
